Then the automobile was restored and overhauled where necessary, converted to LHD steering, and brought up to date by Bridge Classic Cars & Restorations in Woodbridge UK. The works were carried out in the period from March until October 2022. The conversion from RHD to LHD steering included removal of the engine, new wiring, new mounting brackets for the steering, a new steering rack, new power steering (PAS) pump, a complete LHD makeover of the dashboard, pedal box, bulkhead, carpets, etcetera. Parts of the chassis, battery compartment and floor were repaired/ restored and newly painted/coated. The engine was fully serviced, the brakes were overhauled, the cooling system and hoses renewed, and European headlamps fitted. The total amount invested was 30.000 pounds (€35.000). On 16 May 2023 this exclusive Bristol 411 was registered in the Netherlands. Being an aeroplane company Bristol started producing cars just after the second world war. The first model the 400 was presented in 1946. Bristol sold only to a very select clientele. In fact, exclusivity was always Bristol’s hallmark: they never produced cars in large numbers, preferring craftsmanship and individuality over volume. The Bristol 411 was produced between 1969 and 1976, and only 287 examples were built across its five series. That extremely limited production run is part of what makes the 411 so desirable today. The car was hand-built in a limited production, luxurious, and fitted with big Chrysler V8 power. This example features the Chrysler B-series 6.3-litre V8 with a power output of 340 hp and a maximum torquer of 576 Nm! The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Chrysler Torqueflite 3-speed automatic gearbox giving an acceleration from 0-60 in only 7 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h! This limited production classic super car is in a very good condition and the car drives very well. This Bristol 411 can be enjoyed on marque/classic car club days and outings, weekend trips, and as a unique piece of British Motoring Heritage in a car collection. This vehicle is available to view and test drive by prior appointment only.

The Bristol 411, produced between 1969 and 1976, was a hand‑built British grand tourer that combined understated elegance with formidable performance. It was the fifth in the line of Chrysler V8‑powered Bristols, initially fitted with a 6.3‑litre big‑block engine and later upgraded to a 6.6‑litre unit, both paired with a three‑speed automatic gearbox. With a top speed of around 143 mph, it was among the fastest four‑seat cars of its era, aided by a limited‑slip differential to manage the considerable torque. The aluminium bodywork retained Bristol’s discreet styling, while the interior was trimmed in fine leather and wood, offering a refined yet purposeful driving environment. Over five series, the 411 evolved with improvements such as revised suspension, four‑headlamp styling, and enhanced safety features, cementing its reputation as a discreet but highly capable “gentleman’s express.”
