Iso Rivolta Fidia, year 1969. Colour gold / brown metallic combined with a cognac leather interior and light brown carpet. This impressive and very rare Iso Fidia was sold new in Switzerland. In February 2015 the automobile was imported to the Netherlands. The Iso Fidia is very rare, only 192 examples were built from 1967 until 1974. The Iso Fidia designed by Giugiaro at Ghia and the Fidia was one of the fastest four-door saloon cars of the period. Like the Iso Rivolta sports cars the Fidia was also powered by rugged, reliable and very powerful Chevrolet (Corvette) V8 engines (Ford V8 engines from 1973). This beautiful example is fitted with a Chevrolet 5.4 Litre V8 engine mated to a four speed (all-synchromesh) manual gearbox. The rear axle features a limited slip differential to put the power of 350 horses to the street properly. This Iso Fidia is in excellent condition inside and out and the car drives perfectly! It is a very special feeling to drive a big V8 powered Italian luxury saloon. The leather interior with the wood dashboard breathes sheer late 1960s luxury, the power steering is a delight and the grumble of the magnificent V8 engine in the background completes the experience. The car is fitted with wonderful original alloy wheels, Pirelli P4000 tyres and a top class 1970s Becker Mexico stereo cassette radio. This is an excellent example of the very rare Iso Rivolta Fidia.
