Make history

Jensen-Healey, year 1976. Colour British Racing Green combined with a cognac-brown leathercloth interior. The car features a black hard-top and a black soft-top. This super original Jensen-Healey comes from the final production series. In 1976 the car was sold new in the USA, in the year 1977 the automobile was imported to the Netherlands. The car has driven 100K miles from new. This fine Jensen-Healey is in very good and super original condition! The interior is original and perfect, and the engine room looks a picture too! The 1973 cc Lotus four-cylinder 16 valve engine delivers 152 bhp and it gives the Jensen-Healey spirited performance! This combined with great road holding and a 5-speed gearbox makes the Jensen-Healey a competitive sports car! Only 10.000 examples of the Jensen-Healey have been built. The car shows all the original details including the beautiful light alloy wheels.

Imparts 1806

After the Austin Healey 3000 was taken out of production in the year 1968, car dealer and car enthusiast Kjell Qvale initiated a successor. He contacted Donald Healey and Jensen Motors with his idea. In the year 1972 the Jensen-Healey saw the light of day. It was a very modern car for it's day featuring an aluminium Lotus 907 engine with double overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder. The suspension and steering came from the Vauxhall Firenza. In the USA the Jensen-Healey was successfully raced in the SCCA competition. In the first year (1973) Lee Mueller won the championship!
We distinguish the following Jensen-Healey models: Jensen-Healey Mk I 1972-1973 (3356 built), Jensen-Healey Mk II 1973-1975 (7142 built) and the Jensen-Healey GT coupe model (509 built) between 1975-1976. Due to the oil crisis Jensen encountered financial problems. The 'gas guzzling' Jensen V8 models became hard to sell. In May of the year 1976 the Jensen factory was closed. Between 1972 and 1976 11.007 Jensen-Healey's were built.
