Jensen Interceptor III Coupé, 1972 | € 68.000,--
Jensen Interceptor III coupé, year 1972. Vehicle number 8557. First registration 1 January 1973. Exterior colour white combined with a brown leather interior trimmed with light beige carpets. This impressive Jensen Interceptor was imported to the Netherlands in October 2021 by the current owner. Then the odometer read 63122 miles. The car then being in a fair original condition, was brought to classic car and Jensen specialist Schackman in the Netherlands where the car was largely dismantled for restoration. In 2022 the car was taken to Classic Job for a full body restoration, the bad sheet metal was repaired, and the car was given a perfect new paint system in the original colour. The original alloy wheels were restored by Classic Job too. When the bodywork was finished, the car was returned to Schackman to be rebuild again. The windscreen and windows were put back in place, the wiring loom was partly renewed, the dashboard was restored, and several parts were newly chromed. Mechanically and technically, everything was checked, adjusted, and brought up to date. The original leather interior, still being in a very good condition, was retained, the boot was newly upholstered. A total amount of €40.000 was invested to bring the car to the current very good and wonderful condition! The big 7.2 Litre Chrysler engine (288 hp/515 Nm!) runs and sounds perfectly, the 3-speed automatic gearbox shifts very well, and the car drives and sounds impressively! The car was added to the collection and not driven a lot, currently the odometer reads only 63803 miles. The Jensen Interceptor III is a British grand tourer that combines understated style with reliable performance. Designed by Touring of Milan and built in West Bromwich, it features a spacious 2+2 coupé layout and a distinctive wraparound rear window which adds a touch of character. It’s a car that shows British craftsmanship and period charm without seeking attention. A total of 4255 Jensen Interceptor III saloons were built between August 1971 and December 1976. This is a fabulous driver car, and a great addition to any vintage sports car collection. This vehicle is available to view and test drive by prior appointment only.

Classic Job 2509
The Jensen Interceptor III, introduced in 1971 and produced until 1976, was the final and most refined version of Jensen’s grand touring coupé. Hand‑built in West Bromwich, it combined Italian styling with American power and British craftsmanship. Beneath its long bonnet lay Chrysler’s 7.2‑litre V8 engine, delivering around 280 to 300 horsepower through a three‑speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox to the rear wheels. The car’s distinctive design featured a large wrap‑around glass tailgate, giving it a unique profile and excellent practicality for a GT of its era. With a top speed of approximately 140 mph and a kerb weight of around 1,800 kilograms, the Interceptor III balanced performance with luxury, offering a leather‑trimmed interior, air conditioning, and power steering as standard. The Interceptor III represented the most refined version of Jensen’s GT, it was one of the fastest four‑seat coupés of its day, offering both luxury and performance in equal measure.
