Maserati Khamsin, year 1974. Colour green metallic with a dark beige leather interior, a brown Alcantara dash-top and black carpet with beige edge trimmings. This fabulous Maserati Khamsin is one of the only 430 specimens ever built. A magnificent looking and rare sports car! This Maserati was ordered by an inhabitant of the United Arab Emirates and it was delivered new to the United Kingdom. This Khamsin is a European model from the sought-after first series. The following owner lived in Germany and from 1986 the car was registered in Sweden. In Sweden the car was meticulously restored in the years 2005 – 2007. An extensive restoration file is present. The automobile was purchased by a Dutchman in the year 2014. In 2016 the car participated in the 12th Antwerp Concours d’ Élégance, which was held in the grounds of Castle Belvedère, where the Khamsin was a worthy prize winner! This fine Maserati Khamsin is in superb top condition and the car drives superbly! You probably know that Maserati was owned by Citroën in the 1970ies. The Khamsin was designed and built with advanced hydraulic systems of the legendary Citroën SM like the very effective hydraulic brakes and the power steering system. This Khamsin was factory fitted with the desirable ZF manual gearbox. The automobile comes complete with the original tool-set (in a beautiful tool-roll), the original crick and a splendid period Blaupunkt radio with ‘speech-recording’ functionality. Also, the original owners’ manual is present (in a gorgeous leather folder) and the original boot cover in beige leather. This is a fantastic top-example!
