Modena Spyder California, year 1970. Colour silver metallic combined with a black leather interior and black carpet. Black soft-top and hood cover. The Modena Spyder California is a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT California replica with a GRP (fibre glass reinforced polyester) bodywork created by Modena Design and Development in El Cajon, California, USA. The GRP bodywork is strengthened by a steel cowl brace and steel door inners. The Modena Spyder is based on a rigid multi tube spaceframe chassis designed by Indy car designer Bob Webb. The chassis features independent front suspension, a live rear axle and disc brakes all round. The presented Modena Spyder is fitted with a Ford 302 cu (5 Litre) V8 engine which is mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox. The chassis is very sturdy and well sprung, the car accelerates, drives, and sounds impressively! This Modane Spyder is fitted with air-conditioning, power steering, gorgeous chrome wire wheels, Pirelli 215/70-15 tyres, 1960s Marchal 662 / 672 long-range spot-lamps with yellow bulbs, and a Nardi Steering wheel with a wood rim. The Modena Spyder California became world famous because of its important role in the movie Ferris Buellers Day Off which was released in 1986. The car was imported to the Netherlands in the year 2006. This gorgeous Modena Spyder California has driven 9000 miles and the car is in excellent condition!
