Harley Davidson Servi-Car, year 1951. Colour dark green combined with cream white and a black frame. This beautiful Harley Davidson Servi-Car was imported to the Netherlands in 1999. This Servi-Car was extensively restored in the past, and it looks a picture. De Harley Davidson Servi-Car was introduced in the period of the great depression in which many companies went bankrupt, and others fought hard to survive. Harley Davidson was looking for more sales and the Servi-Car (Service Car) was introduced as a cost-effective service and delivery vehicle for small companies. The Servi-Car was produced from 1932 until 1974. The Servi-Car was a also a popular means of transport for service mechanics who executed roadside car repairs. The Dutch ANWB (like the British AA) also used the Servi-Car. This 1951 example is powered by the renowned Harley Davidson G-Series 750cc-Flat-Head V-twin engine with kick starter. The gearbox is a 3-speed unit with reverse. The bike has drum brakes on all three wheels. This Harley Davidson Servi-Car is fitted with a fantastic wicker transport basket, and it comes with a copy of an original user manual. A great Harley Davidson Servi-Car for the Harley Davidson enthusiast and collector!
