Make history

Volvo 1800 S, year 1969. Colour Blue (Turquoise Blue) combined with a cognac brown leather interior and grey carpet. This gorgeous Volvo 1800 S was sold new in the USA. After import from the USA the car was extensively restored. Everything was restored, overhauled and / or renewed. This wonderful Volvo 1800 S is in superb condition and the car drives delightfully. The 1800 S is the successor of the P1800 which was built by Jensen in the United Kingdom. After experiencing production issues with the P1800, the production moved to Volvo in Sweden. The ‘S’ behind 1800 stands for ‘Sverige’ (Sweden). This 1800 S features a powerful and reliable Volvo B20B engine which delivers 100 bhp and which is modified to run-on lead-free petrol. Furthermore, the car is fitted with overdrive (M41), light alloy Mini-Lite wheels, a MotoLita steering wheel with wood rim, safety belts and an original Volvo car radio with 108 Mhz FM. Like the P1800, the 1800 S is fitted with the very desirable aluminium dashboard with many chromed details. The Volvo 1800 S was designated for the American Market; hence the exterior and the interior breathe the fashion, style, luxury, and colours of the independent and free-spirited 1960s American lifestyle. This restored Volvo 1800 S is a very desirable specimen which will bring a lot of joy and driving fun to the proud new owner!

Volvo P1800 S, 1966

The Volvo P 1800 is undoubtedly the most elegantly, exquisitely and dynamically designed Volvo of the twentieth century. The Volvo P 1800 was designed by Per Petterson who was employed at 'carrosseria Frua' those days.

The Volvo P 1800 came onto the market in 1961 as a coupe and was initially built at Jensen’s in England. The P1800 became world-famous for the series of "The Saint" in the 1960s, with Roger Moore as Simon Templar in the leading role.
After building 6000 cars in 1963, production of the P 1800 was relocated to Sweden, and the car was then named the P1800 "S" (Sverige).
In September 1969, the P1800 E came onto the market with a Bosch fuel injection system, a modified dashboard and had disc brakes all around. The P1800 ES estate /coupe came onto the market in 1971.
