Coupé Fiat 2.0 20V, year 1997 (22-10-1997, first registration 30-1-1998). Chassis number ZFA175000*P0043062, engine number 182A1.000 – version 175 AXC 1 A 02, Ricambi number 042936. Colour green metallic combined with a light brown leather interior, light brown carpet, and anthracite protective mats with light brown trim. This gorgeous Coupé Fiat 20V was sold new to a Mr. J Martinez in Ixelles, Belgium. After two years of service the Coupe Fiat was garaged for 22 years at Fiat representative Merckz in Overijse, Belgium, where we discovered it. This wonderful Fiat Coupé has driven only 5270 kilometres from new! The car comes from the first owner, and it is in a superb and fully original condition! Everything is original, including the tyres, (timing) belt and hoses. The car will be brought fully up to date for the second owner! You will only find the slightest traces of previous use; under the bonnet and in the boot, everything looks like new! The interior is near pristine, only the ‘soft touch’ coating on the black centre console has become a bit sticky. The front bumper shows a scuff with paint-loss on the corner; this will be corrected shortly. The car comes complete with radio code-card, and the original keys. It will be hard to find another example of this desirable Italian coupé, with a lower mileage and in a more beautiful original condition!

In 1993 Fiat again entered a sector of the car market in which they once were world famous: the class of sports cars based on mass production models. The Coupé Fiat was built on the Tipo 2 platform which was also used for the Fiat Tipo, Tempra, Lancia Dedra, and Alfa Romeo 155. The design was made by Fiat Centro Style and the car was manufactured by Pininfarina. The wonderful design was inspired by competition cars with details like the faired head lamps, slashed wheel arches, the exposed aluminium fuel filler, the small rear lights and the dashboard panel in body colour. The introduction model was the top spec 190 HP 2.0 i.e. Turbo 16V with ABS and a Viscodrive differential as standard equipment. In 1996 the revised model saw the light of day. The modifications were only to be found in the mechanical department. Now the Coupé fiat featured a two litre, five-cylinder, 20 valve engine in naturally aspirated or turbocharged form. The maximum, power was increased to a stunning 220 HP. The car was also given a high tech Brembo brake system with aluminium callipers. In 1998 a ‘Limited Edition’ model was introduced which was fitted with a 6-speed close-ratio gearbox. In March 1999, the Limited Edition was replaced by the Turbo Plus model.
