Today marks the introduction of our newest partner company:
S2 Classic Cars from Hengelo, the Netherlands!
 
Established in 2015 by André Schoenmakers, S2 Classic Cars specializes in the meticulous restoration, repair, and maintenance of classic automobiles, initially focusing on vehicles from Schoenmakers' personal collection. With a team of eight skilled professionals, S2 Classic Cars has built an excellent reputation for restoring collector cars and preparing classic sports cars for events such as the Mille Miglia.
 
From 2023, S2 Classic Cars has expanded its services to cater to external customers offering its expertise to classic car enthusiasts beyond its founder's private collection. Classic Car owners and enthusiasts who want to fulfil their vintage car dreams, are invited to visit S2 Classic Cars for the top-class restoration, repair, and preparation of their exclusive classic car from brands such as Aston Martin, AC, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Jaguar, Maserati, Lamborghini, and for repair and maintenance of British classics.
 
In recent weeks, the first five projects have been photographed by yours truly, and will be followed until completion. The first four classic cars were also tested and photographed and put up for sale. Be surprised by the beautiful projects, the top class work, and the great classics that can become yours!

FIAT 6C 1500 B CABRIOLET 2+2 GHIA 1947 RESTORATION

This amazing and unique 1947 Fiat 6C 1500 B convertible 2+2 Ghia is being completely restored to its original glory by S2 Classic Cars. The sheet metal has been well preserved over the years but needs to be repaired in several places. The woodwork in the windshield pillar and the A-pillars has been newly created by a partner woodworker. This beautiful Fiat 6C 1500 B convertibe 2+ 2 ghia is being restored to the highest standards of perfection.
 
The car was shown by Ghia at the 4th concours d'élégance of Sanremo on May 11 and 12, 1947, alongside a convertible in light green metallic with beige upholstery. On June 21, 1947, the car won the "vetture fuoriserie trasformabili fino a 1500cc" class at the "I Pincio Park" concours d'élégance. More information on the website.

NASH HEALEY PININFARINA ROADSTER 1953 RESTORATION
 
This rare 1953 Nash Healey Pininfarina Roadster was sold new in the USA. In the past, this rare car was found at a classic car dealer. The Nash Healey turned out to be complete and still functioning! All the original details were still present. The Nash Healey was completely disassembled and our craftsmen had to "burn midnight oil" to restore the bodywork, starting from the bare metal. ARSMTRONG SIDDELEY SAPPHIRE "346" 1954 RESTORATION
 
This 1954 Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire 3 ½ Liter sedan from 1954 was sold new in the Netherlands to Baroness van Heeckeren van Wassenaar who lived at Twickel Castle in Delden. The car was delivered on July 3, 1954 by N.V. Minerva Automobielen in Amsterdam. The car was finished in the colours 'Elephant Gray' with 'Light Gray' combined with a dark blue leather interior and tyres with white side walls. The car was in service at Twickel Castle for many years and old photos of the car and the original invoice are still in the family archives. The start date of the restoration has yet to be determined and can be followed from A-Z on Classicar Garage. More information on the website.

ALFA ROMEO 2600 SPIDER 1966 RESTORATION
 
This gorgeous Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is undergoing a complete restoration at S2 Classic Cars. The car was sold new in the US and imported into the Netherlands in 2013. The interior was renovated in the 1990s. After arriving in the Netherlands, the bodywork appeared to be in good condition with only signs of aging in the paint. After close inspection it turned out that the bodywork needed to be restored to bring the car in top condition. This beautiful Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is being restored to the highest standards of perfection. More information on the website.

AUSTIN HEALEY 100/M BN1 1954 MILLE MIGLIA PREPARATION
 
Austin Healey 100/M BN1, built in 1954. This beautiful Austin Healey 100/M BN1 was imported to New Zealand by John Seabrook, owner of the Austin dealer Seabrook Fowlds Ltd. John Seabrook raced the car in the 1955 and 1956 Ohakea Trophy race, where the car was listed as a 'works' BN1M. The car is currently being overhauled and prepared for the historic 1000 Miglia 2024 in Italy. More information on the website.

MASERATI 3500 GT TOURING, 1962 RESTORATION OBJECT
 
Maserati 3500 GT Touring, year 1962. This is a complete and matching numbers restoration project. The Maserati was sold new in the colour 'maroon' red combined with an ivory interior. The car was auctioned in 2023 and sold to the Netherlands. This magnificent Maserati 3500 GT is a wonderful basis for a complete restoration because the sound bodywork. It is also possible to turn this Maserati into a driving 'survivor' with some restoration to the floor and a full technical service. If desired, the car can be completely restored by our restorers who have experience with the Maserati 3500 GT and the Touring 'Superleggera' body construction. SWALLOW DORETTI ROADSTER, 1955
 
Swallow Doretti roadster, year 1955. Colour ice blue combined with a grey/blue leather interior finished with light blue piping, grey carpet and blue protective mats. In 2019, the car participated in the historic 1000 Miglia in the special class for interesting historic vehicles. This beautiful Swallow Doretti Roadster is in a very good and very original condition and the car drives great! Swallow belonged to the conglomerate of Jaguar director William Lyons, hence production stopped after only 276 cars had been built as the Swallow Doretti became a direct competitor to the Jaguar XK 120 roadster. Only 74 cars of this type are known to exist. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a very good Swallow Doretti Roadster with a wonderful history! More information on the website.

MG MGB GT, 1966
 
MG MGB GT, year 1966 (first registration March 7, 1967). Colour British Racing Green combined with a black leather interior finished with white piping and black carpet. This beautiful MG MGB GT was sold new in the Netherlands. The first owner was Mr Brugman from Delden, who was director of the Brugman machine factory in Almelo. In September 1993 the car was sold to the current owner (MG club member) who has cherished the car for over 30 years! The MGB has been very well maintained and stored over the years, the car is in a very good and beautiful condition. The car still has the original Dutch license plate. The MGB is generally not a rare classic, the left-hand drive MGB GT with odometer reading in km/h is; With these specifications, only 1477 examples were produced!

FERRARI 330 GT 2+2 SERIES 2, 1966
 
Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 (2nd series), year 1966. Colour blue metallic combined with a red leather interior and red carpet. This fantastic Ferrari 330 GT was sold new in Germany by Auto Becker in Düsseldorf. In Germany the car was cherished by two enthusiastic owners. In the late 1990s, the body was partially restored and given new paint. With a mileage of approximately 70,000 kilometers, the engine was overhauled by a German Ferrari specialist, a detailed invoice for the work is available. In 2002, the Ferrari found a new owner in the Netherlands and the car was registered in the 330 GT register. In 2015, the car was sold through a ClassicarGarage partner to the current owner with a mileage of 76,930 kilometers. The odometer now reads 81,394 kilometers. Since the engine overhaul in the late 1990s, the car has driven less than 11,400 kilometers. Since 2018, the Ferrari has been maintained by S2 Classic Cars. This beautiful Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 is in a very good and very original condition and the car drives, sounds and handles great! This is a rare car (only 455 built), an excellent investment, a beautiful piece of Ferrari heritage, and a great driver's car for the Ferrari enthusiast and collector.
